“Enormous worlds opened up in me. I experienced the heart of why I am here” (Becoming Kin participant, 2022)
Becoming Kin is a 6-week journey that takes place online and at home, where you are. Through movement, somatic practices and creative explorations, as well as deep sharing with each other, we dive into the wild wisdom of life to find ground, meaning and purpose.
In the face of the many crises in the world, we may feel despair and wonder how to respond, how to live now and what our role in creating a different way of being might be. We may be struggling with questions about our own lives, our relationships, our purpose, our work. The life paths, choices and priorities that once seemed ‘what one does’ and ‘the way things are’, no longer hold up as true in the face of our personal and collective experiences but in the absence of strong alternative stories, we may feel lost and dissatisfied.
Becoming Kin takes us into connection with inner and outer nature to nurture a greater sense of belonging and help us navigate the questions and challenges of our times. We explore how we might reimagine ourselves and our place in the web of life. In remembering the connection between inner nature (accessed via our bodies) and outer nature (the more than human world), we nurture our aliveness, our wild wisdom and our creativity so that we may act on behalf of the living web of relationships of which we are all part.

𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭: 6 online meetings plus invitations and guidance for 'homeplay', optional additional reading, as well as an online space for sharing in between modules

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: Each session will include exploration of themes relating to our connection with the more than human world and our place in the web of life.

We will use a mix of somatic exploration and movement/dance, creative practices including journaling, sharing and deep listening.

The deepening of the work happens between sessions – there will be ‘homeplay’, ie invitations and guidance for explorations at home, where you live, between modules, as well as optional reading, listening and viewing that expands on the themes of our sessions. We then have an opportunity to share our experiences and insights at the next module.
We start on Tuesday 19 August at 5-7.15pm UK / 6-8.15 EU &SA /9-11.15am PDT / 12-2.15pm EDT
Places are limited to allow for deeper connection between us.
