Our third London immersion this year, 3-day long exploration of our roots and culture using Movement Medicine alongside a combination of 5Rhythms, shamanic ceremonial practice, and Taoism.

Dance is a universal language. Whether we feel connected to our roots, or live with a sense of being rootless, we all respond to rhythm. Whether we are immersed in culture or seek to be free of it, as dancers we can all find a deep knowing of who we are and where we’re coming from. In the dance, we can bring body presence and fluidity to our identity. We can meet each other and move with our differences; we can weave the threads of our diversity into our personal and collective futures.

This immersion is an invitation to come together on the dancefloor to connect with and explore our roots and culture. The intention is to make these resources more accessible for all, and to explore how this could support the emergence of new and more inclusive ways of being in community.

We will use the dancingTao inter-weaving of maps (5Rhythms, Movement Medicine, shamanic practice, art, Taoism and more) to move, share our stories, and celebrate our lineages. We will get down and dance for unity.

This immersion will be facilitated by Christian de Sousa with Mark Gayle, Nikki Ashley and a support team from the dancingTao collective.
