Full Moon Dance - Roundhouse

Mira Khanya

Venue: Roundhouse
Cost: £15

Dates & Times: 21 Jan 2019 to 21 Jan 2019  19:30 - 21:30

Join us on the first full moon of the year - sometimes called the full wolf moon - and this year it also happens to be a lunar eclipse!

We will dive into the dance of our own creativity - developing a wider movement vocabulary that supports and opens the door to new possibility on and off the dance floor. Releasing those things that are counterproductive in our lives, clearing out the old and restoring balance within.

We journey within an immersive environment in the magical Roundhouse, held with captivating music and clear guidance. Through the embodied presence of our dance we connect to the wisdom within and experience our creative potency, deepening our connection to life.

Movement Medicine is a practice which directs our awareness to our movement, thoughts and feelings, supporting us to get more in touch with who we really are. It is an active and embodied meditation practice, opening the way to deep internal reflection. Through the dance we are invited on a journey of personal empowerment, relationship with community and connection with the creative life force within and around us. Ya’Acov and Susannah Darling Khan, founded the School of Movement Medicine, integrating their experience with a lineage of practices such as Shamanism, 5Rhythms, Gestalt Psychotherapy and Family Constellations.

Mira graduated from The School of Movement Medicine and intuitively weaves from the rich tapestry of her experience as a dancer, therapist and artist. She creates a safe and sacred space for you to let go into the transformative power of the dance.
Mira has also completed their Continuous Professional Development Level 1 Advanced Training in working with the Heart and the SEER Process (systemic essential energy retrieval), Level 2 Advanced Training in working with Movement Medicine Ritual and Ceremony, and Level 3 Advanced Training in working with the Phoenix Process.
