Working therapeutically can be highly rewarding and gratifying. It can also be emotionally demanding and challenging. Tending to your personal well-being and engaging in self-care practices, avoids burn-out and supports you to offer your work from a place of plenty rather than empty.

This CPD offers practitioners from different disciplines the opportunity to enter a safe and supportive space to dance freely – to release some of what you carry, gather resources and feel replenished. Everyone is welcome. No steps to learn. No right or wrong. In both Movement Medicine and Sesame Drama Movement Therapy is the simple acknowledgement that movement is healing. The understanding that within movement there is infinite creativity and therefor the possibility for transformation.

And so we will embark on a journey and creatively engage in the awareness of our kinesthetic, physical and emotional interior landscape. Releasing that which no longer serves and expanding into a greater sense of inner balance as we call in that which nourish and strengthens us. Through the embodied presence of our dance, attuning to our own intuition and the intelligence within. Embodying our imagination and deepening our connection to ourselves, each other and the bigger picture of life. We dance to gather resources and inspiration that can support us in our personal and professional lives.

We will have a moment to further explore through drawing or writing. Then at the end of the session there will be an opportunity for discussion to reflect together on the crossovers between Movement medicine and Dance Movement Therapy and to begin an exploration of what we can learn from each other.
