Summer Solstice Dance

Location: London
Venue: The Arc Centre, 98B St Paul Street, Islington, London, N1 7DF

Dates & Times: 20 Jun 2018 to 20 Jun 2018  19:30 - 21:45

A warm invitation to join us as we immerse ourselves in the dance - celebrating, honouring and harnessing the blazing energy of the sun and the Summer Solstice light.

A space to dance and dream as we connect to the elemental energies within and around us. Connecting to the power of the sun and strengthening the fire within. Dancing to let go of that which no longer serves and expressing our gratitude for what we have created in our lives as we dance for the love of life.

A space to come into a deep recognition of the interconnectedness and interdependence of all living things. That our wellbeing is intimately connected to the wellbeing of the planet. And reflecting on what each of us can do to protect the sanctity of life on earth.

At the end of June I will take part in the School of Movement Medicine’s Summer Long Dance (a 3 day long dance ceremony). As a dancing community we raise money for charitable projects and dedicate our dance to all our relations past, present and future. The Summer Solstice Dance I am offering is my give away to raise funds for The Pachamama Alliance. The vision that informs their work is of a world that works for everyone: an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling, socially just human presence on this planet—a New Dream for humanity. To find out more visit www.pachamama.org. The Arc Centre has kindly offered the space for free to support the fundraiser.

We will end the evening with a Potluck Veggie Finger Food Feast! (optional)
